Hello,

Great program! I use on several computers, now in Windows 10.

I have a question on the search from the Classic Shell search field: when searching, I get a list which often has the See more results line at the bottom. When I click this link, an Explorer windows opens with all the search results.
Great!
But when I leave this window open and do another search in Classic Shell and click the See more results, nothing happens. Apparently, only one Explorer search window can be opened by Classic Shell.
Since this happens very often because 1) I want to compare the search results, or 2) I forgot to close the Explorer window before doing the new search.

My question is if this is a (current) restriction in Classic Shell, or am I doing something wrong?

Your help is appreciated.

This looks like an Explorer limitation in Windows but I found a workaround.

If you want to compare results, you can open another blank search window by typing the following command in the Run dialog (Win+R), or by creating a shortcut to the following command:

Explorer search-ms:

Then you can type in its search box and compare the results from the first search.

Both will search only indexed locations, unlike if you open a new regular Explorer window and begin searching which would search non-indexed locations too.

Hi Gaurav,

Thanks for your reply, but you're solving a problem I don't have. I do not want to compare search results. I simple want to search from Classic Shell + See More Results even with a previous Explorer search window open. Maybe I did accidentally leave this window open, maybe I would leave this search window open for other reasons, or maybe I did not know a previous Window was open at all.
It would help if Classic Shell closes the previous Explorer search window automatically. Now, the second See More Results does nothing! --> I should find and close the Explorer window and search again.
