When the presses the windows key, and then the hotkey of which ever program, it normally opens

However if that item has a jumplist (the little arrow on the side), or there are more items with this same hotkey, it simply selects the item, and the user has to press enter to activate it.

Im requesting that space bar function as enter when anything other than the search field is selected. this would greatly increase speed 'hybrid' navigation
(where 1 hand is generally on asdf, and the other is on the mouse)

With the left hand on the keyboard, its particularly slow to find the enter key

For items with jumplists, there is a setting "Keyboard shortcuts for programs with jumplists" which you can set to "Run" so that pressing the accelerator runs the program.

yea i saw that, however that prevents you from navigating the jumplist :P if spacebar functioned as enter in this (and possibly other scenarios), it would help speed up keyboard navigation. and the only spot i could see a conflict would be the search box. (unless you set the spacebar as a hotkey for a menu item if thats possible)
