Hello,

I use Windows 7 32bit with classic theme and Classic Shell with classic style.

Classic Explorer offers the option to hide the scroll tooltip. However, this option doesn't work - I still see the scroll tooltip (even after a reboot).

Do other Classic Explorer settings work, like the one to show the Up button?

Yes, all other Classic Explorer settings work, including the up button.

Show me a screenshot. Maybe we have different understanding of what the setting does.

Btw once upon a time for Windows 7, the scroll tooltips were not getting hidden for me too in Details view when you scrolled despite all other Classic Explorer features working but I have since then reinstalled Windows 7 and now it works always.
