 Post subject: windows 8.1 release

windows 8.1 will be released in late august. i believe the build will be 9600. A recent build 9461 has been compiled a few days ago.

i was using windows 7 and switched to windows 8 but i did not like it very much because i was 2 much used to of windows 7 i again installed windows 7, will see soon 8.1

if you went through the trouble of uninstalling 8 for 7, the changes in 8.1 likely aren't enough to get you to stick with w8

I bought 7 recently. So I will keep on using it until support is up

The latest 3.9.x RC and the upcoming stable release 4.0 fully and officially support Windows 8.1 RTM.

Looks like you are able to flick through from the 'Metro' screen to the All apps screen

You can even set it to open like that by default. Perfect for offline computers, People who don't care about the store, Or those who can looks outside for perfectly accurate weather information.



Boot to Desktop is another great option!
