Post subject:  MOVING APPS IN START MENU

Hi there,

I am new to Classic Shell but I am enjoying it and very grateful for its existence!!! I am using Windows 8.

I am having one issue though: In the Classic start menu I would like to move some of the Windows 8 apps that appear in the Apps folder over into the Programs folder of the start menu.

For instance, in the Programs folder there is a subfolder called Games that is currently empty, whereas there are many games in the Apps folder that came with Windows 8. Is there an easy way to move these apps into the Programs folder? Right clicking and drag drop don't seem to work.

Also I accidentally moved one of the apps in the Apps folder (S Camera) onto the desktop and when I moved it back into the start menu, it now appears at the top of the main list, and I can't get it back into the Apps folder. It is stuck there.

Basically I would like to know how to move and reorganize the apps in the Apps folder to different areas of the Classic start menu.

Please tell me this is possible! Thanks!!

App shortcuts are located here: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Application Shortcuts inside a folder each. By default, just left click drag and drop creates a shortcut. You can hold down Shift and left click and drag and drop them to move them inside 'All Programs' or subfolders inside 'All Programs' or hold down Ctrl while dragging to copy them.

Ah, it was the holding Shift down I was missing. Such a noob! Thanks much!
