Post subject:  Option to disable Metro completely

Even if one does not use Metro, it is still running, consuming processor power and disk throughput share. The only way to disable Metro is to kill this thread in Procass Hacker/Process Explorer:



It would be great if Classic Shell could kill Metro as well as the other Metro-related thread, with start point in twinui.appcore.dll.

If I'm reading correctly, then you literally just redirected Anixx to a VBS script he/she/it/they created... :lol:

As you can see, it is the script I have created. It it not guaranteed to work. If it were implemented in Classic Shell, it would be much better.

That's right. Killing threads left and right is guaranteed not to work. Regardless if a script does it or Classic Shell.
