This is not a big deal but thought I throw it out to you. When Windows starts up and the taskbar first becomes visible the clock/date is just a gray rectangle for a few seconds. After that the clock/date appears. This I believe happens to the non-beta version too.
I mention this because Start8 does not do this. As soon as the taskbar is visible so is the clock/date.
As mentioned, not a show stopper by any stretch of the imagination.
