I'm using Windows (7) Classic Look with Classic Shell (settings file attached).
The Start button isn't 'checked' when 'active' and 'open'.
Thank you.

Thank you so much.
Where is the classic Start button icon located? If it isn't stored as an image, what are its dimensions? And how do I set the title?
I appreciate your help.

It is generated by the program its size varries, though the shell icon on the button is stored within the ClassicStartMenuDLL.dll in your install directory I believe (under the icon catagory) (Use Reshacker to open/edit) Its size also varries You can modify the text on the button by checking "Show All Settings" then going to the start button tab, and editing the 'button text' field. the icon will scale accordingly

Thank you.
I just couldn't figure out how to do it. I've created a 16x48 bmp file, but the title (in the button, not the tooltip) didn't show up.

Thanks again.
In that Dialog Box, ICO files are unavailable. Is it possible to create a PNG file with several formats?

Great! I'm going to download the new version. I've subscribed somewhere for updates. Where is the right place?
Thank you.

In Start Button -> Button icon, you can use: %SystemRoot%\System32\winver.exe, 1
Those are Win7 original icons.
