Every time I try and change the Start menu type to Windows 7 I get the two column menu. When I set it to Two column or Classic it works fine. Everything else seems good. Running Windows 10 Pro Creator's Edition - but I am running that on another laptop with Classic Shell flawlessly.

Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are getting with the Windows 7 style?

Now I'm embarrassed! :( I installed Classic Shell on a brand new installation of Windows 10 and compared it to one that has been growing for years and it turns out everything is OK. I looked at it so quickly that I thought the two were the same when in fact the Window 7 Style menus look somewhat like the 2 Column Menu that if you don't pay attention they seem to be the same.

As the lady said: "Never mind!"
