Post subject:  How to get Windows Start Menu properties with a right-click

I want to use the classic start menu, but I want to be able to access the default Windows Start Button properties when I right click on the orb (I'm using Win7). How can I enable this? I'm pretty sure I was able to do this before. Now, right clicking the start button/orb gets me the Classic Start Menu options. I can access those via the program files menu, so I don't need them when I right click the orb.

Two ways - either Shift+right click on the Start button or open Classic Start Menu settings -> Controls tab. Check the option: "Right Click opens the Windows Context Menu" and click OK. If you check that then Shift+right click will open the Classic Shell context menu and regular right click will open the Windows Start button context menu.

OK I did that--I selected the "Right Click opens Windows context menu option," but now all I get when I right click the start menu is a context menu that gives me two options: Properties and Open Windows Explorer. Selecting either one simply opens up the Windows start menu, just like hitting the Windows key on my keyboard.

You are probably using version 4.0.2. It has a bug like the one you are describing. Upgrade to 4.0.4.
