When using a start button icon that has areas with complete transparency, right clicking on those areas produces the Win+X menu even if "Right click opens Win+X menu" is disabled.

That is correct. The transparent area is not part of the button. You are actually clicking on the taskbar. If you don't want this to happen you need to use an alpha channel value of 1.

Ah, got it. I thought it was supposed to be a rectangular area, regardless.
