Not really.
A start button requires three images, one for normal, one for hover and one for pressed state.
An animated button has more than three images, but you need to tell how it must be used (there's a little stripe of pixels on top of the first image as a coded instruction).

The images posted are neither a button, nor an animated button. ;)

Sorry, only a disquisition on how a button is made...

I don't do animated buttons, so, someone more experienced can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the number of frames/images you posted are too few to make an animated button.
Maybe there's a way to create all the transition frames/images needed to have a smooth animation, I don't know if it's possible.

Oh... Ok.

So, as I said, I never made an animated button, until now. ;)

edit: removed the bad button...

Nice, but I'm getting some weird artifacts around the button when hovering.
Where's Ivo?

Hmm, yes, now that you say, I noticed it.

Tested too quickly...
Give me a few minutes.

The artifacts are now gone :) But the torso sort of sinks into the tentacles when hovering now.

Yes, if someone more expert than me, who knows some tricks and can do for you a better animation, this is the best I can do using your images.

Oh Shoot, you beat me. Do I get a prize for coming in second?
I made all the frames 107 pixels. The problem was the pictures overlapping next frame.

Excellent juniper7!

I forgot the images were different in sizes, but now the button looks like I wanted it to. Thanks! :)

No more experience than you, fonpaolo.
I used top of its head as reference.
You used its dangly bits at bottom. :)
