In Windows 7 the start menu always positioned the last selected first-level folder as the topmost presented in the menu the next time Start was clicked. For instance, I have a top-level folder "Banking and Retail" that contains many dozens of subfolders, so I scroll down to the one I want, click it to expand its contents and select the item I want. Windows 7 would the next time position the start menu with "Banking and Retail" as the top item. Classic Start Menu looks like it just remembers the last index position selected regardless of the subfolder depth, so when the Start menu is opened next it appears to be positioned at a "random" spot, looking like the "spot" was remembered from the last folder selected rather than the first. Is it possible to more closely emulate the Windows 7 behaviour? or at least provide an option to enable this?
Thanks, Phil
