Edit: This beta build link is now obsolete. A newer beta can be downloaded from: http://www.classicshell.net/downloads/latestbeta

There is a new beta build 3.9.0. You can download it from here: http://www.classicshell.net/files/beta/ ... _3_9_0.exe
It adds support for Windows 8.1 and a few small fixes.

As with the previous build, if you currently have version 3.9.0 installed you will have to uninstall it manually before running the new installer.

That was fast! It integrates well with the 8.1 "Boot to Desktop" mode, and no overlapping buttons!

Plus, I just realised that Classic IE Settings for IE 11, "Not Available" is the publisher, not the state. Enabled, active, and working fine. I feel embarassed by the confusion! :)

Thank you very much for the new build. With the new 8.1 "Boot to desktop" option (and JFX's wonderful WinNTSetup, with the new "BootToDesktop" commandline option, combined with previous options to turn off eg. the stupid setup animation), now we finally have the option no *never* see Metro, right from the beginning of Setup. And now, finally after 18 months, Windows 8 looks half-way Professional again...
I'm looking forward to (further) testing 8.1 and Classic Shell 4.0 beta!

this version is awesome, this was a really quick fix for a very annoying issue (overlapping start buttons), I'm really happy again :) Win 8.1 preview shows already 99 bugs, but Classic Shell ain't one of them! ;)

Just installed! :) Gorgeous! On friday I was trying to get rid of the MS-Start button to avoid the conflicts with CS.

Now, you've already fixed the problem with a new version. Wow, that was fast! Thumb up.
