Windows 8 white Start Button. Set size to 42 to make it proportional to the size of the large taskbar icons if it feels too large. The hot and pressed state is the same so it glows when activated using both mouse as well as keyboard/touchscreen.

To "download" the image, right click on it and choose "Save image as..."

Does this button look right with a small taskbar? Any particular size I should set it to?

Hi, I'm new to Classic Shell. How do I change the size to 16 (the downloaded file already is named CVJdp16.png. So, is it already in size 16? And if not, how do I change it? The button is too large in my small taskbar. I love the glow (which is better than the black background in other buttons)!!!

To change the size of any button, go to the "Start Button" tab in Menu settings (You will have to show all settings). The "Custom Button" has a 'Button size' option. 0 means use the width of the image. Change it to match your taskbar's height so it looks like a perfect fit. You will have to click OK after changing the size as the size setting is not live.

So I type 16 in stead of 0 as the required Button size and the Start Button will be smaller?

Any size you want. Try 16. If it feels too small, then increase the size. This particular image at smaller sizes makes the Windows 8 logo almost stick to the left edge (if taskbar is at the bottom). In that case, you can simply edit it in a free editor like Paint.net and add some transparent pixels to the left of the whole image.

I find 38 is the right size to match up with the original windows 8 button on my other taskbars. It's not quite as sharp when scaled down though. Still, works great!

The default was too big and the icon was getting cropped. The suggested size of 42 made the whole area too small. I set it to 48 and it appears to be perfect now.

It doesn't look as sharp as the real Windows 8.1 button, but it'll do.
