Last time I started my laptop, Windows failed to boot to desktop.
I tried a lot but same result.
I try using Startup repait tools, automatic repair.
No result.

At the end I started reinstalling windows.
Windows reinstalled but no result.
It kust won't boot.

Then I searched the error code online.
It says something that harddisk is failed.
I tried few suggested suggestions like rebuilding mbr but no result.

Last Idea is to reformat whole harddisk and then reinstall the windows.

But my whole data is on the disk about 150GB.
I know that whole data is safe and working.
I can access it by using a method i found in the following webpage

So I want to know fastest method How can i transfer this data to another laptop.

I dont have Portable harddrive or large storage pen drive

If you can open Task Manager or any app which allows the Open dialog of Explorer to be loaded, you can use copy-paste.

Or use the command prompt and tools like xcopy, robocopy to save it.

Well I can open the 'Open Dialog' Box in the notepad but main problem is that I don't have any portable drive to store data in.

I can borrow my friend's laptop.
There I can transfer data. There are couple of methods:-
Make a live USB and transfer over wifi. But it would take a huge time.

So I want to know if there's another way or not?

Can't you boot Windows Setup or its Recovery environment/WinPE from a USB HDD?

Well yes i can surely boot via installation usb.
Then i can open cmd
Then notepad
Then open dialog box
And can copy paste items

But i dont have external portable hdd or usb to transfer data to
I only have another laptop with internal hdd.

So i want to ask if there a way by which i can transfer data bw 2 PCs in installation environment.

Otherwise i would have to make live usb and use sharing wizard and transfer data over wifi

Oh man, what a predicament you are in.

Usb memory sticks are so cheap nowadays, at least where I live.


I don't have any helpful information.
Way back years ago, there were ways to use a special male to male usb cord,
or old serial port transfer cable,
or network ethernet direct crossover cable,
to connect and transfer files from one computer to the other, not using slow WiFi.

They cost money too, probably more than a usb memory stick,
and may not work unless drivers and software are in the Windows repair disc.

Wish I could help, just don't have the expertise.
